The Following Takes Place Between 2:00pm and 4:00pm

This is it. An era ends tonight. 24 will complete its 8 season, 192 episode run tonight with a 2 hour thiller. Tonight hopefully all questions will be answered with the most intriguing being Will Jack Bauer die? Personally, I dont believe he does. But the thrill ride starts now! Settle in, this should be an exciting 2 hours!!

2:00pm - 2:13pm

• Cole goes after Ricker and gets the information from him about Jack's objective.
• Logan tells Pres Taylor everything he thinks he true.
• Jack, using the bug he has on Logan, knows everything and hides out in the back of Pillar's car. He orders him to drive to the UN.
• WOW. LETS GO!!!

2:17pm - 2:26pm

• Chloe plans to recover the evidence and release it worldwide
• Kayla tells Daila about Meredith Reed's call. They plan to call her.
• Jack gets into the UN with Pillar. Pillar is forced to stitch Jack up, but Jack cant find the heart to kill him. He knocks him out.

2:30pm - 2:37pm

• Dalia finds out the Russia might be involved and takes this info to Pres Taylor. Dalia says that she will not sign the agreement with the people that killed her husband.
• Taylor says that if Dalia does not sign, she will unleash war on the IRK.

2:42pm - 2:49pm

• Jack sets up shop in a closet adjacent to the podium. He takes out a sniper and prepares a video to explain himself with his cell phone.
• Dalia and Taylor meet Suvarov at the tunnel. Dalia is furious with everything.

2:54pm - 3:00pm

• Chloe finds Jack and Jack is forced to put her down.
• Jack gets his sniper ready and fixes it on LOGAN'S head!!
• He tells Logan to get Suvarov to meet him there after the press conference.

HERE WE GO! LINE IT UP! THE VERY FINAL EPISODE OF 24 NOW.

3:00pm - 3:09pm

• Suvarov goes into Logan's room and Logan gets no orders.
• Chloe wakes up and convinces Jack not to shoot Suvarov.
• Jack tells Chloe she must shoot him though and she reluctantly does. In the shoulder.
• At this point, Jack should be in custody.
• Jack gave Chloe the recording

3:13pm - 3:23pm

• Chloe has the SD card and maintains it thru a search by Pillar
• Chloe rushes back to Cole and tries to upload the file.
• CTU knows Chloe is in on it, and they run in to detain her.
• Meanwhile, Jack managed to bite Pillar's ear!!

3:29pm-3:45pm

• Pres Taylor didnt sign the treaty.
• Jack gets captured.
• Logan kills Pillar to continue the cover up

3:51pm-4:00pm HOME STRETCH!!!!!!!

• Taylor orders Jack to be released along with Cole and Chloe.
• She reaches the men holding Jack seconds before he is to be shot
• Taylor orders the men to stand down.
• Jack thanks Chloe for everything she has done.
• Jack gets up and begins to jog away, peering up into the NYC sky.

So there we have it. The era has ended. The show we have come to know and love since 2001 has come to an end, nine years later. 24 is over. Done. We have just witnessed its final two episode ever. But what a finale it was!!!

With that the season ends, with Jack's eyed fixed on the camera as the drone feed fizzles out and the screen fades to black and the 24 clock counts backwards 00:00:03....00:00:02...00:00:01...00:00:00. I found that backwards count very 24-esque and it justs reminds us how unique the entire series really was.

Lets begin with the end. After being ordered back to CTU, Logan ordered an ambush on Jack's transport back to CTU with the objective being to kill Jack. Meanwhile, President Taylor watched Jack's farewell message via SD card which proved to be a change of heart. Taylor backs out of the peace treaty and orders the hit on Jack be stopped. Just in time she reaches the men by radio and order them to stand down.....This scene where Jack and Chloe share a few words serves a closure for their "through thick and thin" relationship over the seasons. Their relationship really did play a huge role in the series in that Chloe's motivation has always been to help Jack when in need.

So President Taylor proved to be the driving force in this whole battle in that, her change in action caused the change in the entire situation. In a season where corruption seemed to have distorted our notion of how posessed the most power, this put everything back in perspective. With her power, Jack was safe from all who wanted him dead and was free to go.

Logan, that clown! He finally ran out of clever manipulative recovery plans to calm himself, so he just loses it. Murdering Pillar, then shooting himself through the chin. Whether he is dead, we are not sure, but most importantly, he failed.

That video that Jack recorded while in that closet preparing to snipe Logan...who was that addressed to? Jack never actually established this as he justifies his actions taken that day. My best guess would be Kim Bauer his daughter, but I guess this one is up to us to decide.

I could literally go on and on about these episodes and the season as a whole, but that might take an entire 24 hours to read. I figure before the rating, I will pose a couple questions of the top of my head that are left to ponder now we have no more episode to watch:

• What happens to Pres Taylor? Impeachment? Force-out?
• Where does Jack go? Possibly the question to be answered with a feature film.

RATING: 24 stars out of 5! These two hours were nothing less than amazing. A thrill ride from start to finish. Couldn't have thought of a better way to end the greatest series in television history. At this point, a feature film is a major topic of discussion and it would be a major letdown for them not to have it. From what I have read, the film would take place in Prague, Czech Republic. So for right now, imagine that is where Jack is fleeing to.

That will do it for our beloved 24. Thanks to every single person who played a part in making this groundbreaking show possible. It really became a part of my life that I will cherish forever. Goodbye 24, you will be missed. Tick tock...Tick tock.

• Jack tells Reed to contact her editor who she can trust.
• Logan tells Pres Taylor that she's got to smother the press and kill the story that could get out about the cover up

• At least 2 shot....dead?
• Never seen any character in 24 as freightened as Logan just was.
• What a nasty suit Jack had!

• Jack got the name of Novachovich off of Logan.
• Logan's unconsicous, Jack's still on the move.
• Chloe might be out to go find Jack's partner.
  

1:39pm - 1:45pm

• Editor tells Reed to lay low, FBI is at office
• Chloe gets Cole out of holding.
• Jack gets Novacovich's location from a guard, then shoots two, one dies, the other gets up and stabs Jack. Jack fights back, kills him.
  

1:50pm - 2:00pm HOME STRETCH!!!!!!!

• Cole heads out after Ricker
• Jack has absolutely ran thru Novacovach's room and killed everybody besides one. This is intense.
• Jack bugged Logan!! Jack knows all! But Jack is bleeding....

WHAT A SHOW!!! I dont even know where to start! Well Jack did Logan dirty again! Roughed him up, scared him to death, got his info, and bugged him! I dont think I have ever seen a more freightened character in 24 ever. Now Jack knows all. He's got all the information to take care of anybody responsible to everything that has happened. The only varible now is how he goes about his business.

How about the scene of the Novacovich's room after Jack had apparently rapaged through it! Bloodied bodies laying dead everywhere. Pools of blood. Then a fire poker jarred through Novacovich's gut into the carpet with a gunshot hole in his head! Could you imagine what that rampage must have looked like. For some reason, they decided not to show you, but that would have been epic!

Speaking of epic, that suit that Jack came up with was just awesome! Darth Bauer coming for Logan! That thing was inpenetrable, He was just taking bullets as all the wanna be secret service agents fleed for their lives. Jack is the real deal and Logan's face showed it. "Thats Jack Bauer!!!"
Meredith Reed, caught by FBI. she handed over a memory chip, but is it a fake? Taylor says that she will be the only one that looks at it. But at this point, does Jack even care anymore what happpens to the evidence? He knows who to go after and that seems to be all that matters to him.

Rating!!! 5 STARS OUT OF 5!! Easiest rating ever. Might be one of the single greatest episodes of 24. So great. Couldn't really ask for more. Intense the entire time. But where do we go from here? 2 more hours left and thats it. Its sad when you think about it, it really is. That deep voiced guy at the credits puts it best when he says "the end of an era."

Jack Bauer Kill Count - Are you kidding me? Jack must have wrecked nearly 20 kills this episode. Much of it was too unclear to count, and at this point it doesn't even matter. Right now we have to worry about Jack being the next victim of a kill count.

• Dana wont give up any info. She claims she has no evidence
• Jack and Cole move in on Dana's location.
• Sick beat by Callery
• BOOM! Yeah Jack! One down. Sharpshooter.

• ANOTHER ONE!
• Jack, Cole, are attempting to escape with Dana.

11:19am - 11:25am

• Dana told Jack where the evidence is located.
• Prez allows logan to appoint his aide as an overseer at CTU

11:31am - 11:35am

• Jack is officially being head hunted. Logan wants him dead.
• Cole and Dana head in to open the safety deposit box.

11:40am - 11:46am

• Bomb in the deposit box!
• Cole is knocked unconscious.
• Dana shoots the bank guy with the gun.
• She calls the police on Jack.
• Dana's on the move.
• This show is good.

11:52am - 12:00pm HOME STRETCH

• Police try arrest Jack but he escapes and chases Dana
• Jack hunts down Dana until she runs out of ammo.
• Jack shoots Dana in cold blood.

Dana Walsh or Jenny Smith, or whatever her name was, is now dead. Shot and killed by big bad Jack, who just might be out for blood. Now keep in mind, she did not get the silent tick which could mean one of three things. One, probably the most unlikely, being that she is not dead, but with 4 hrs left, that is very unlikely. It could also mean that Dana is simply an "evil" character, therefore undeserving of the silent tick. Or it could simply mean that she wasnt important enough. Regardless, this shouldnt really matter as there are merely 4 episodes left.

I for one am glad that Dana is done. After she blew up Cole with that deposit box bomb and shot the bank guy, I started to really hate her. She was constantly screwing everything up. And through this, I am know certain I am rooting for Jack in this whole thing, but who isnt?

But what exactly is Jack's motive in this? Does he want to turn in the evidence and let the justice system take care of it....OR does he want to break it down, and personally execute every person involved as Dana said. Jack's actions is this episode definitley point toward the latter.

Jack was doin work in the first segment of this episode and started us off with a good note with 4 kills in the first 10 mintues! Most impressively was the mid sentence persicion shot on the man holding Dana hostage. Don't test Jack Bauer.

And how about that police officer who was clearly aware of Jack's reputation and freightened by the mere sight of him. He knew he was beat as soon as Jack made a move. For once the old, "Do You Know Who I Am?" worked on the police.

Rating: 5 Stars out of 5. Get used to seeing this as we head down to the final 4 episodes. Truthfully, I will be disappointed if all of the following episodes are not a 5. But this one was undoubtedly derserving. Lots of action, unpredictability, and deal making and breaking. Good stuff from 24. We only have 3 more weeks until "the end of an era". Remember these next episodes.

10:00am - 10:12am

• Jack lands his copter and blends into NYC crowds
• Pres announces they will expose Russia and end peace talks
• Logan suggests they manipulate Walsh to control the evidenace and keep it from ever getting out. Immoral, but save the treaty. Logan is definitely a thinker

10:16am - 10:26am

• Pres decides to transfer Dana to a private security firm.
• Jack calls "Jim" and wants some heat and gear.
• Dana is taken away.

10:30am - 10:37am

• Jack is at Jim's. He gets his weapons. Jack is told a fake location to be brought in.
• Kanin is told by Pres that she is not gonna back out of the talks, but instead she is going to detain Dana Walsh and interrogate her.
• Kanin says that if she continues to go through with this, then he will resign.

10:41am -10:48am

• Jack is ready to move into the location.
• Jack moves in a wrecks the ragtag clown squad of CTU. Nobody is dead, Jack is just in conrtol
• Jack convinces Cole to join him in revealing those who are responsible

10:52am -11:00am HOME STRETCH

• Kanin calls out Logan on his wrongdoings.
• Pres hops on the podium and announces peace treaty will go on "no matter the cost"
• Walsh begins to be tortured.

Everybody beleives they are doing the right thing. Thats where we're at right now. Everybody who has a motive at this point is doing what they are doing because they think it is what they SHOULD do. Who ultimately is right? Thats for you to decide...

Jack Bauer -- believes that nothing should be covered up. A terrorism plot has been put into play by the Russian and he thinks they should be held accountable. This may also be a reason that he is convincing himself to believe in order to seek revenge for Renee's death.

President Taylor -- believes the peace treaty is the most important thing is the world right now, literally. At any and all costs, she wants that thing settled, even if it means losing one of her most loyal advisors. That bring us to....

Ethan Kanin -- believes what Taylor is doing is wrong and immoral and will not be a part of it. Kanin might be the only person in left who is not in it for himself even a little bit. Kanin is all about morals and he isnt about to change now. He thinks that the right thing to do in this situation is to resign

Charles Logan -- believes that the peace treaty needs to be signed so he can recieve credit for keeping the treaty together. At this point, it is obvious that Logan is in it solely for himself and would go to any length to repair his image.

Chloe O'Brien -- believes, as head of CTU, that she is obliged to do whatever it is that the President oreders her to do. Even if she doesnt agree at all, she feels it is not for her to decide who is right or wrong, but to maintain the security of Taylor and her objectives.

At this point, we have a very convoluted plot and when its all said and done, not everybody will be happy. It will definitely be interesting to see how this plays out as it will be the final plot of 24. What happens over the course of the next 5 episodes may very well define the television series of 24 as a whole. This is it. This is all we got. It's needless to say that we are in store for something special.

4.5 out of 5. It wasn't until after this episode ending, that I realized how good it actually was. Everything is set up to fall right into place for a spectacuar ending. One of the greatest set up episode thats we may have seen. Lets go 24! Lets end this on a good note!

9:ooam - 9:13am

• Chloe tells Jack where the Russian guy is right now.
• Logan talks with Novakovich. Logan apparently has proof that Novakovich is in, and threatens to show Taylor
• Jack shows up at Bazaev's court hearing. He says that Dana Walsh knows who killed Renee

9:18am -9:27am

• Russia announces they will sign the treaty
• Jack is in the process of interrogating Renee. He slaps her around a little bit and now it appears as though he is gonna knock out the camera and really get down to business

9:31am - 9:39am

• Charles Logan persuades Taylor that she needs to keep the peace treaty alive in order to keep the nation safe. He stresses that Jack Bauer needs to be stopped before he makes it known that the Russians are behind everything. Taylor says she is going to CTU to meet with Bauer.

9:43am - 9:50am

• Madame President meets with Jack and tells him the he is being shut down. For the greater good, she says, it is best that the truth is never let out. The convo gets heated, but Pres has more power. Jack is being transfered to McGwuire Air Force Base

9:54am - 10:00am

• Jack takesover the helicopter and takes off with it across manhattan. He's goin rogue, and this time, he has no Chloe on his side as she notifies FAA

Jack means business now. He knows what he wants and that is justice. And we all know that Jack will do whatever it takes to get what he wants, especially if he thinks he is doing the right thing. Jack has jsut stolen a CTU helicopter and who knows what he plans to do with it! And what is he going to do without Chloe on his side? This is gonna be good.

Logan did work and is taking advantage of his oppritunity. He has just weaseled his way into control of the actions of the United States. Pres Taylor is now acting off of Logan's words and actions. There are many characters that give us more reasons to dislike them than Logan, but theres just something about this guy that keeps me from hating him.

Dana Walsh gets off easy again...for now. She was finally getting the beating she deserved when Pres Taylor comes flying in with her "hide the truth" idea. Wasn't Pres Taylor the one who had her own daughter sent to prison to avoid covering up the truth? hmmm......

RATING: 4.5 Stars out of 5! So many memorable scenes in this one tonight. So many different plots are devolping right now, this is great. It has gotten to the point where it is literally unpredictable as to how this will play out. Suspense at its finest. I can't believe this show has to come to an end...

After a stellar 2hr session last week (sorry,no post) I'm sure we are locked in for some more drama tonight. Last week Jack uped his kill total from 16 to 20 with 4 kills, but he still arrived too late. Hassan was already dead. But here we go! One new hour, starting right noww!!!

8:00am - 8:08am

• Take one of Jack's kills away, looks like Samir is still alive...until EMT man injectss him that is.
• Jack says he's going home
• Pres Taylor plans to end the peace, but then she receives info of another option.
• Jack and Renee are being followed by the EMT guy who took out Samir because he recognized Renee.

8:13am - 8:21am

• Mrs. Hassan accepts the role of active leader of the IRK.
• Chloe O'Brien -- Head of CTU
• Hastings has been fired of head of CTU.
• Jack and Chloe go back to Jack's apartment where they are spotted by the rogue EMT guy from an adjacent apartment.
• EMT kills some old head to uses his apartment.

8:27am - 8:35am

• The Russians claim they will pull out of the peace treaty. Ethan suggests Logan can help.
• Samir has gone into cardiac arrest. Its Chloe time!
• She orders an toxology on now dead Samir to see if he was injected with something.

8:39am -8:47am

• Logan and Taylor meet. He claims of having some secret way of gettin the Russains to sign the treaty.
• Taylor agrees relunctantly.
• Charles Logan is back in 24.

8:51am - 9:00am HOME STRETCH

• Chloe calls Renee about Samir's death. Renee mentions recognizing an EMT guy, then she is sniped by that EMT guy. Jack rushes Renee to the hospital where she dies.
• Silent Tick. Renee is dead. Fade to black.

The return of a 24 legend and the passing of a 24 legend. 6 more hours left and this thing could get hairy.

Charles Logan is back in play. A character who has absolutely no reason to be trusted, has just be trusted by the President to conduct a secret meeting with the Russians that only he can know about. Sounds kinda fishy, but Pres Taylor has no other play.

Renee Walker is now deceased. Silent Tick confirms, she is dead. I dont know whether to feel sympathy for Renee or for Jack. Jack, once again, thought he was done and was finally moving on with a relationship, then she is shot dead. Now, Jack is of course back in the game and it looks as though this time, he wants justice.

The IRK has a new president. It looks like President Taylor isnt the only "Madame President" around. Mrs. Hassan will reluctantly take over. In hopes to salvage the dead Hasssan presidency, his wife will try and keep the treaty intact.

It seems as though General Bracken has gotten in over his head. His original mission "for the greater good" was complete, but now he is still trying to cover his tracks. That has resulted in the death of Renee and now the feds will be looking for the people responsible.

RATING: 4.5 out of 5. Whenever such a prominent character such as Renee dies, you know the episode was good. For anybody who has been watching 24 over the years, this episode was probably a tad bit more enjoyable than those who have tuned in only over the last couple seasons. With the return of Logan and the mention of the Suberovs, Season 5 played a role in this episode which I personally view as the best season of the series. I also enjoy when they include instances from past seasons. So great episode, with only 6 hours left, I cant imagine anythng but stellar episodes.

Jack Bauer Kill Count: 19 Kills -- It appears as though Jack did not kill Samir, only knocked him out so I kill gets substracted from his previous calculation of 20.

The Following Takes Place Between 5:00am and 6:00am

Well apparently, this is the last season of 24. FOX and 24 crew have decided to kick the bucket after this final season, so 24 fans, this is all we got. We are coming up on the end of an era. Lets hope its epic After inquiring from several sources, I have come to the conclusion that Jack in fact tallied TWO KILLS in his firefight with terrorist ops bringing his total to 11 on the season! A new hour is about to begin and we'll see if Jack can add some more to his total. 5:00am - 5:10am
Dana helps Samir blend into cab traffic by cutting off atellite for 30 seconds
These Presidential clowns are back.
Hastings tells Pres he cant gaurantee safety of Manhattan
Renee decides she is going with Jack to the UN to transfer the Hassans
Samir makes his way to the warehouse and they are ready to load the fuel rods.
5:14am-5:25am
Samir calls up Madame Prez. He asks for Pres Hassan to be turned over.
The cabinet argues yes, but Pres steps up and says NO!!
General comes to Weiss with a play: Deliver Hasssan, but diguising it as a hostage abduction. But the play has top be kept from Prez Taylor.
5:28am - 5:35am
Hastings tells CTU the bomb will detonate in 50 min unless they find it.
KAnin walks in on Weiss trying to get the info. They trap Kanin inside and KAnin has a heart attack.
Kanin tried to call Jack, but he couldnt talk.
5:41am - 5:46am
They continue moving through the tunnel and Jack sense something is wrong by Weiss and turns the brigade around.
They get fired upon and Hassan family quickly move out.
5:51am - 6:00am
Jack and Renee come under more fire. They realize they were up against Americans, and learn about the ransom.
Samir tells Taran to start the denanator on the bomb. 15 minutes on the clock.

Here we go! Looks like Taran's on a suicide mission with the dirty bomb, which means Samir wasn't bluffin. This thing is for real. CTU has 15 minutes to stop this bomb.
So is Ethan Kanin dying? faking? dead? At the most inoppritune time for his sake, Kanin suffers a heart attack. This basically ends any chance of him warning Jack, but the little bit he was able to do saves it all.

Jack doin work in this one! It looked to me like 5 kills during his protection of president Hassan. But little did JAck know, he was fighting against Americans. Regardless, his orders were to protect Hassan and thats what he did.

Was Weiss pressured into his decision to go thru with the generals plot? It seemed as though his own words were used against him to pressure him into the decision and now its pretty obvious that he has some regrets.

Finally President Taylor is showing her Presidential Teeth. She told those cabinet members what their mission was and exactly how they were going to go about doing it. Way to step up to the plate like you should Madame Prez!

4 .5 Stars out of 5 - Lots of Action here in this one. 24 goes back to its roots with the main aspect with made it famous. Firefights left and right. And we also had some political treason involved which is always exciting to watch. Well put together episode in the final season of 24.

This is the hour where anything could happen! Lets Go!!!

4:00am – 4:12am
· CTU is in shambles.
· Jack is talking to some Phil at NSA to coordinate new tactics
· Jack and Cole and 2 CTU guys go to the port to try to pick off the rods
· Taran and crew is already there and firefight ensues.
· They take off by the river with the fuel rods.

4:16am-4:23am
· NSA arrives at CTU trying to get them back up and running.
· Chloe has a feeling Jack is in trouble.
· Chloe seems to be extra worried about Jack. She calls Renee.
· Renee is ready to go out in search of Jack.

4:28am-4:35am
· Dana just caught a huge break. or so she says. Video has been fried.
· Chloe taking charge! Using the gun to get them NSA ego heads out. Now its time to do work Chloe!
· CTU Clown!! The guy got to anxious and scared to stick to the plan and now he’s dead over it. He’s got no one else to blame but himself.

4:39am – 4:46am
· Kayla is reunited with her parents.
· Hastings busts in on Chloe but she convinces them to her 10 more minutes.
· The parole officer asks to talk to Hastings.

4:50am – 5:00am HOME STRETCH!!!!!
· Chloe fixed it!! CTU is back up.
· Jack covers for Cole as he runs for the call box.
· Jack gets taken down , but Renee saves Jack by killing the man who had Jack lined up for a head shot.
· Chloe doesn’t do well with praise.
· Dana decides to take matters into her own hands and strangles the officer to death.
· Upon finishing, she calls up Samir. Dana Walsh is a double agent.

We have ourselves a double agent! I sure didnt see this coming. I thought that Dana killed that guy simply because she felt she had no other option beside to go to jail. So she cracked the dude in the back, strangles him to death, then stuffs his dead body in the wall! Edgar Allan Poe anyone? So we now know that Dana is workin with Samir because she called him up as soon as dude was dead, talking about her cover. Man, just as soon as I was beginning to root for her...

There needs to be a section in the 24 hall of fame for all of the people of save Jack's life at the absolute last second, coming from out of nowhere. This time, its Renee Walker. Some credit should also go to Chloe O'Brien for tipping off Renee about the situation, but we'll get to Chloe later. Renee, who was just chilling at home, (who knows what she was doing up at 4:30am) immediately got up and was ready to go as soon as she heard Jack might be in trouble. She didnt even think twice. She knows has that 'anything for Jack mentally'. Something she and Chloe have in common. But as I've said before, when it looks as though Jack is in danger, the question is not 'will he die?', but the question is 'how will he be saved'. Nothing against 24 though. Any show with a star character such as Jack wouldnt dare have their main character die without the show ending upon this death...

One of Chloe's finest episodes! I dont know what it is about Chloe picking up a gun, but it makes you want to do nothing beside cheer at the site of it. Chloe takes a big risk this time, but it ultimately pays off, gaining the respect of Hastings and fixing CTU, and saving Jack. Forget these other clowns, CTU only needs Chloe! Oh, and remember, Chloe doesn't do well with praise. If you didn't already know the definition of awkward, know you do. Gotta love it.

Anyone else notice how much of a roll Jack is on with his predictions. He's just callin everything as if he planned everything for the terrorists....

And where has President Taylor been? Really, she hasn't been seen in a while, and these are situations where she is usually seen. The problem is, I dont really think that there is a reason for this, I just have a feeling it is an inconsistency. Well, its only a 43 minute show, so maybe they just dont have enought time, or room, to fit her in there.

RATINGS

4.5 out of 5 Stars. Twists like this are always great. I immediately popped up as soon as I saw Samir on the other line of that phone. Not quite as good as last week's episode obviously, but this definitely makes two great episodes back-to-back

• IRK nationalist are targeting Manhattan w/ dirty bomb.
• Samir tells Taran that his cover has been compromised.
• Taran takes Kayla and leaves. The dumb sargaent decides to let his ego take over and ulitmately because of him, Taran got away with Kayla, President Hassan's daughter.

3:15am -3:24am

• The parole officer arrives to see Dana Walsh. He seems to know somethings up and keeps questioning Dana.
• CTU comes to Hassan telling him that they need to monitor his communication because they believe Samir's crew will be contacting him.
• Kayla is brought into a room in front of a camera and is tied down to a chair.

3:27am - 3:35am

• Samir says he wants File 33 (US defense weakness files) in exchange for Kayla.
• CTU WILL NOT let them hand over the file.
• 15 minutes on the clock.
• It is evident that Taran still has feelings for Kayla. How we deals with them, we will find out.

Well, I just wrote this whole long post about how great of an episode this was, but it somehow got deleted. So to make a long story short, it was a clear cut 5 out of 5 stars. Best Episode of season 8 to date. Keep it up 24!

Season 9, Anyone?

With Season 8 now up and running, much of the speculation has turned to whether or not 24 will be back for a 9th Season. Well now rumors have been spreading that if FOX doesn't renew 24 for its 9th Season, then NBC might step up to the plate. This is discussed in an article written for www.screenrant.com by Ross Miller:

NBC To Save ‘24′ From Ending?

Beyond the thrills of the actual TV show, fans of Fox’s long-running real-time TV series 24 must be fretting in between each episode, as the fate of the show hangs in the balance. We’ve been hearing word for awhile now that 24 might be coming to an end after the current season. Sad news for long-time fans who still enjoy the exploits of Jack Bauer.

Previously on 24…

A few days ago we reported on the inside word that the decision about 24’s fate was going to come any day now (at the time of the post it was “a day or two” and yet here we are with no announcement). If the show ended, it would allow the creators time to make a feature film, as star Kiefer Sutherland and the writers and producers have been desperate to do for some time. In fact, they’ve already hired State of Play scribe Billy Ray to write the script for the 24 movie.

However, rather than flat-out cancellation there’s always the chance that once Fox decides not to continue making the show another network will step up to the plate. I theorized that NBC might be that network, since it looks pretty likely that Heroes won’t survive much longer. And now we’re getting the word from Entertainment Weekly that NBC may very well save 24.

EW say that they have multiple sources (unnamed, of course) that claim 20th Century Fox

(the studio) and Fox (the network) have approached NBC about taking 24 off their hands, should they choose not to renew it for another season. And word is NBC is considering it – “There’s definitely some interest,” said an insider close to the talks.

It’s been noted that a move to NBC is still a long shot; aside from the dwindling ratings, the show comes with hefty price tag to make. Plus, it takes the better part of a year to make one season – that’s a lot of cost for a network to bear. Still, the interest from a rival network shows that 24 isn’t a dinosaur that no one wants anymore.

24 - Still going strong?

Unfortunately for those looking forward to seeing Jack Bauer take down terrorists on the big screen, you may have to wait a little longer if NBC does pick up 24 (or if Fox just renews for a ninth season). Since the show’s writers and producers have said it’d be impossible to shoot a feature film while still doing the TV version, we’ll pretty much be waiting until 24 ends before we see a feature film.

So as you can see, it might not be over yet!And, i'll tell you this, I like our chances. I'll be surprised at this point is there is no 24 Season 9. But, if on the iff chance that Season 8 is the end, at least we can look forward to 24: The Movie.

• Jack decides he needs to try to talk to Marcos.
• Cole and Jenny gets scolded by Hastings.
• The terrorists are set up with surveillance on CTU and Marcos in the hospital.

2:13am - 2:18am

• Jack tries to talk to Marcos thru the intercom. Marcos doesnt budge and he is prepared to die.

2:23am - 2:28am

• Hassan's wife screams "How could you?!" blaming him for their daughter disappearance.
• CTU arrives at Marcos's mom's door asking her what she knows.
• She agrees to go to the hospital to meet her son.

2:33am - 2:49am

• Dana/Jenny gets a call from a corrections officer wanting to meet with her over Kevin Wade's whereabouts.
• Marcos has got 3 of 4 circuits active.
• Marcos's mom has arrived at the hospital. And Jack explains to her the situation.
• Marcos's mom tries to talk hom out of doing this. He gets emotional but sticks to his plan.
• Jack threatens Marcos with a promise that his mom will die if he detonates that bomb.
• Marcos finally breaks down and comes out, all 4 cicuits acvtive.
• The terrorists trigger the detonator remotley, giving it a 60 second timer.
• Jack tries to disarm it, but realizes he wont finish.
• Marcos tells Jack about Hassan head of secuirty, then blows to pieces in the chamber.

2:53am - 3:00am

• Jack tells Hasan that Taran is a co-conspirator.
• Hassan's wife was able to reach Kayla. Kayla tells them exactly where she is.

Well that ending was kind of abrupt. But those "Scenes from the next episode" were amazing! At least that gives me something to look forward to for next week.

Marcos was gone! He got absoultely destroyed! 24 shows some gruesome deaths, but the striking part about this one is that there was nothing left to show besides blood splatter all over that time machine.

As soon as Jenny/Dana thought she was done with this Kevin Wade, theres more. Know she has to deal with the shady looking parole officer after Kevin whereabout. Right now, Kevin lies at the bottom of some swamp, so Jenny/Dana better have a good story.

Well what do ya know? Maybe Hassan knows what he's doing after all. His suspicions prove to be true as Marcos confesses right before his death that it is in fact Taran that is a co-conspirator. Now it's Kayla who's in danger and Taran who is CTU's new lead. CTU just keeps getting bounced around from lead to lead, but still no indication of exactly where this dirty bomb is.

So with an episode that doesn't give us a cliffhanger, they essentially do with the scenes from the next episode! We get times where certain events are going to happen...At 3:52, "a twist that will change everything!" They say this as they show Hastings running throught CTU screaming "security!!". I think its safe to say that next week's episode will be a good one.

4 Stars out of 5 - Great moments, but not a great episode. Right now, it seems as though some of these subplots are unrelated, but I assume, as time rolls on, connections wil appear to be evident. We will have to just wait and see. The scence with Marcos blowing up was 5 star caliber, but the episode as a whole was not.

• Taylor tells Hassan abouts his brothers claim that a dirty bomb may be launched upon the US. She wants Hassan to provide pictures of terrorists to see if he can recognize
• Taylor threatens to attack Hassan's country unless he hands over the files.
• Taren begins his plan to escape his captivity and meet up with his girlfriend Kayla Hassan.

1:17am - 1:25am

• Farad gets mowed down just before CTU arrvies. Jack tries to get him to talk on site.
• Taylor hops on the Cisco Telepresence with staff and discuss mass casulties if bonb goes off.
• Farads dead. Leads gone.
• Jacks smart! He says CTU needs to play it off like Farad is still alive so the terorrist have to make a play.

1:29am - 1:35am

• Jenny and Cole lower the bodies into the swamp.
• The news shows that Farhad is still alive when in fact he is not.
• The terrorists decide to make a play on Farhad, thinking that he is still alive.

1:39am - 1:47am

• Hassan wants Farhads body to be returned to his mother for proper burial. Too bad CTU is using his body.
• Farhad makes it into the hospital.
• Jack tells Renee he wants to be with her once this is all over.
• Nervous young CTU agent Owen fails when confronted by the terrorist Marcos. He hands over his weapon and agrees to lead him thru the hospital.

1:51am - 2:00am HOME STRETCH!!!

• Owen needs to show the bomb to a camera so chloe can figure out the module.
• Chloe does this and Arlow disarms the bom before Marcos can blow himself up.
• Marcos tries but realizes its broken and starts shootin at the dead Farhad!! Priceless!
• Jack and crew move in and Marcos leaps out the window
• He begins to run and Jack chases.
• He is able to get away and lock himself in some kind of time machine looking thing.

Yes! What an Episode! Great Ending. I dont think there was a watcher out there who didnt think that Marcos was going to make a break for that window once he starting backing up. But I dont know how many of us thought that he would get up and start running away. And then, on top of that, he just happens to find some kind of time machine looking thing that he can lock himself in. I was ready for him to push some buttons and instantly appear somwhere running around with guys like Fayed and Dredenko!

How about that little Owen. The little CTU agent looked like a little kid talking to his hero when Marcos came over. He got all sweaty and nervous and was seconds away from falling lat on his face. But he was able to pull himself together when it counted and was able to get Marcos to reveal the bomb. But to add to Owen's troubles, he got cracked in the face by Marcos before Jack and the boys intervened.

Jack the Genius! Clutch thinking by JB with the whole 'play it off like Farhad's alive plan'. Got them exactly what they needed. It drew the terrorists to the hospital and got them another lead. It worked, even if dude is chillin in a time machine right now.

So it seems like the plot we will be talking about for the weeks to come is the threat of the launch of a "dirty bomb" on the city of Manhattan. For some reason, I have the feeling that this bomb will go off. Rumors of this being the last season and all lead me to believe that something out of the ordinary will happen. I wouldnt be surprised to see the terrorist prevail with this plot.

Cole and Jenny spent a full hour AWOL from CTU and at the swamp tending to the dead bodies. Meanwhile, back at the ranch aka CTU, they have been functioning as good as ever without them. Hastings seems to have found new confidence in standing up to the Cheif of Staff, Chloe was working the surveillance like a champ, and Arlow was using his smarts for disarming bombs instead of smart remark. Way to go CTU.

But Right now, we are left with CTU's only lead, Marcos, locked in a time machine where it seems as though he will attempt to manually detonate his bomb to kill himself before Jack and CTU can find a way in. And judging by "scenes" CTU will bring big bad Marcos's mommy in and lets see Marcos's true colors.

5 Stars!!!! Started off as intense as can be! Everyone was tellin everyone else how it is, and these people running about dealing with those people and vice-versa. The perfect mixture of plot changes without becoming overwhelming. Then that churning at the beginning smoothly played out through the rest of the episode with suspense, action, climax, and even a little romance. Missing anything? Nope. Perfect 5 outta 5!!

• Cole has Arlow fetching information about Dana's whereabouts and Cole decides to go AWOL to figure her out.
• Kristen Smith from Justice Department arrives at CTU to investigate Renee Walker.
• The men who Farhad is working with suggest that they deploy the fuel rods in America to boost their power

12:27am - 12:34am

• The lady from Justice is questioning Renee about her "Self Defense" killing.
• Its JAck Time! Jack tries to break Renee out, but gets taesered before he can get away.
• Farhad escapes from the people who want to attack US soil

12:39am - 12:45am

• Hassan called CTU telling them of the possibke attack on New York. Cole is gone so Owen has to run point.
• Cole finds Dana about to go kill Kevin and his friend. Cole tells Dana she better start talkin. She starts with "My name is not Dana Walsh, its Jenny Scott"

• Cole draws gun on Kevin and bud and tells them to simply get lost or go to prison.
• Kevin's bro stabs him in the gut and goes after Jenny and Cole.
• Kevin warns Jenny at the last minute and Cole is able to shoot the guy before they get shot.
• Meanwhile, Jenny runs over Kevin and holds him while he bleeds otu in her arms

Rating: 4 Stars - Nothing Spectacular. Not much happened, yet didnt seem like a set up episode. Many loose ends to be covered up in the next episode, but not really any major long term plots established that I noticed. Just a good episode of 24. Nothing more.

• Cole and boys lower in on what they think is the truck with rods
• they find dead men inside with big empty box. Rods are gone.
• They find the cross meaning that Bazhaev's son Joseph has been there.
• Joseph took the Rods, he's ready to deliver them to Farhad.

Joseph means business! Bazhaev's son has taken over and is ready to sell them to Farhad. As soon as CTU thought they had won, they are back at square one. Could he perhaps be doing this so his brother didnt die in vain?

Jack gettin four kills tonight! Wow. Thats a rarity. He came out of nowhere on that guy in front of the fuse box. I assume he was hanging from the ceiling, but you never know when it comes to Jack. And then he got two more thru a six inch wide door window. He's nasty. This all coming after snapping some guys neck with his legs. How did Bazhaev think Jack was under the wrong table. He standing there firing shotgun rounds into a table while Jack is sitting somewhere smiling inside.

Kayla Hassan's situation with her relationship is going to play a bigger role later on in this season. This is mainly coming from the fact that her name was featured in the opening credits. She find someway of affect one of Hassan's decisions.

Kevin Wade and his boy livin it up! They have definitley taken advantage of Dana and it appears now that they will continue to. But according to scenes, it appears as though Dana will not let that happen as she appears with a gun in her hand.

Renee seems to have a special concern for Jack's safety. As whacked out as she currently is, she definitely knows one thing: she cares about Jack. And its pretty evident that Jack cares about her. To what extent this caring is, we dont know, but it will probably play a part in their decisions.

RATINGS AND STATISTICS

Rating 4.5 out of 5 Stars - Solid 24 episode! Didnt have the epic ending to put it over the top, but definitely had the memorable scene and all the necessary elements of a good 24. 2 Spectacular episodes in a row. Why stop now? Looks like we are entering a great stretch of 24!

• Jack talks to Renee about pulling her out of the mission
• Dana is ready to tell Kevin how to get into the bank.
• Kevin and his pal make their way into the bank and thru all the door and gates until they find the money.

10:16pm -10:22pm

• Bazhaev orders the preist to bury his son outback. This guy is whacked.
• Vladimir calls Bazhaev to work the deal for the Uranium. Bazhaev denies knowledge.
• Bazhaev calls some guy and a truck and tells him that he needs to stop.
• 24 better pick it up from here on out.

10:29pm -10:36pm

• Hassan still claims to hold to treaty talks and policies. He orders his brother's wife and daughter to be areested to make him talk.
• WATER GUN!!! haha. i'll admit. He got me too.
• Kevin and his boy caught by a patrol cop. The friend knocks him out and the run out the door. Dana is in some trouble now.

10:40pm - 10:46pm

• Renee pressures Vladimir to keep calling. Vlad gets angry and clobbers Renee twice.
• Renne grabs a knife and stabs Vladimir seven or eight times killing him.
• Jack runs in mid stabbing and Renee turns around and stabs Jack once in the stomach.
• Jack rips knife out of stomach and hurls it across the room stabbing Vladimir's man square in the neck.
• Jack then grab Vlads gun and shoots another man thru the walls!!
• Jack then goes and hugs Renee. It is now looking like Renee has finally realized that she has lost it.
• YEAH 24!!!! THATS WHAT IM TALKIN ABOUT!!

10:50pm - 11:00pm

• Jack doesn't tell Hastings everything that happened...
• Jack prepares for CTU arrive, but its the Russians with the nuclear weapon.
• Jack lets himself be taken thinking that we will be tracked by CTU and Renee stays behind
• Jack and the Russians end up taking an underground route out of the building.
• The clock ticks...

Vintage 24. Ultimately Unpredicatable. Nobody saw that coming. Renee stabbed Jack!! After mauling Vladimir. That scene was spectacular. And after the you thought the scene was already good enough, Jack Bauer lives up to his legend by ripping the steak knife out of his stomach and zips it through the air, lodging it in the mans throat. BUT, we dont stop there! Then, Jack gets up, grabs a gun and proceeds to shoot at another man through a wall hitting him two or three times blasting him up against a car as he falls to his death. What a highlight!

Well right now, Jack is lost. He doesn't know where he is and neither does CTU. He's in the dark. For once, I think Jack might actually be scared. Not only if he at the mercy of Russian radicals, but also, he has nobody coming for him because no one knows where he is. Jack made a decision to let himself be captured not realizing that the Russian men found their way into the buliding via an underground passageway and that CTU had no way of tracking him. Lets see how he escapes this one. Judging be the "scenes from the next episode", this wont be an easy one for J.B.

Dana Walsh has become totally encompassed in her situation with Kevin Wade. Kevin and his partner in crime got a little greedy while in the warehouse and took too long. The patrol officer came in and saw the mess and Kevin's bud clobbered him as he was calling it in. The scamper away, but this isn't gonna end well for Dana. Or Jenny. But how funny was it when the guy pulled the water gun on Kevin. I seriously thought the gun was real and that Kevin was about to die.

So Renee has officially lost it. And judging be her reaction after stabbing everybody, she has realized her insanity. But to Jack, she cant admit this yet. For some reason known only to Jack, things must continue as before with Renee.

RATINGS AND STATS!

Rating: 4.5 out 5 stars! One of the greatest and most memorable scenes in 24 history. But the fact that at one point in the episode I was saying to myself that they need to pick it up, keeps it from being a perfect 5. Whenever the thought that maybe this episode isn't going to bring it comes about, it just cant be a 5. But in this episode, not only was Jack killin, but he also was injured by one of his own. Very unsual.

9:00pm - 9:11pm

• Jack suggests that Renee be puleld out but Hastings wont budge. Jack says he will go under cover. Hastings agrees.
• Dana comes up with a plant to steal 120,000$ for Kevin Wade.
• Renee set up a meeting with Vladimir to meet Meir.

9:15pm - 9:23pm

• Doctor said that in order to cure the infected brother, he needs a bone marrow transplant.
• Vladimir plans to take the money and kill the buyer.

9:28pm - 9:37pm

• Dana gets the key card for Kevin and his boy and gives him a COM unit
• Chloe is the best.
• Renee is deathly afraid of this Vladimir because of their past, but insists on staying undercover. She just flushed away her COM unit. "I'm going dark."

9:41pm - 9:48pm

• Hassan's man goes to grab the suspected UN officer to question him.
• All the doctors and nurses shot and killed, the brothers are captured and are being brought back to their father.
• Meir!? You're kidding me? Jack knows German!?
• Jack on drugs for the job again. Back to season 1.
• Jack is about to transfer the 5 million, then the clock ticks.

9:53pm - 10:00pm HOME STRETCH!!!

• Jack looks like a clown
• As soon as Vladimir's men were ready to kill Jack, Cole snipes them out from an adjacent roof and Jack grabs a gun. Vladimir, stunned, decides to reconsider the deal and go further with it.
• The father just shot his infected son square in the chest and killed him.

Great Ending! When Jack had no other way out, someon else saves him this time. Looks like Cole and Jack could make a stellar tag team. Just like that, its Jack and the boys of CTU that have the upper hand. The man with the weapons grade uranium just killed his own son. There is no stopping this guy now. Usually the only thing that can keep these villans honest is their family. Not this guy.

Whoever is the genius behind the character of Chloe, please stand up! She must be one of the greates charcters on all of tv. Sometimes, behind all fo her knowledge and computer savy personality, we forget how blunt and up-front she is. When she wants to say something, she says it, no matter how rude. Great Character.

Tough glasses Jack! Ersnt Meir? I guess that works. His accent doesn't fit it at all though, but I guess he cleared that up when he was speaking GERMAN!? Since when does Jack know German? That sounded pretty fluent to me. Nice work Jack.

Renee seems to at least have some sort of pride left, because she wont just let Vladimir take advantage of her. She told Jack thats its hard enough just being in the same room with him, so it seems as though she doesn't have a death wish.

I don't care how evil this Kevin Wade guy is, but you I gotta give him some props. Dude's smart. He's got all the dirt and connections for him and his bro to get them some mad money. But as hinted by the "scenes" it's not gonna be that easy. Dana has to and has been making this her top priority, because if this doesn't go well, then she is as good as done!

RATINGS AND STATS

Rating: 4 Stars: This was one of those episode where 50 min in, im thinking to myself "This episode has been kind of slow", but then has that unexpected twist that seemingly makes up for the slowness. And this episode in my mind had two of the twist. So kind of a disguised slow episode. They combined very intense instances and very slow instances in the same episode to create a good balance. So 4 stars. Not spectacular, not poor either. I give it a 4 over a 3.5 because of the 2 end twists as opposed to 1.

• Jack suspects Renne might have a history with Vladimir
• Hassan and Pres Taylor disagree on what to do from here w/ Hassan's country.
• Infected brother says that HE made the mistake that got him infected.
• The uninfected brother decides to take the infected one to the doctor even though it might jeaopordize their operation. "I will not let you die without a fight!"

8:26pm - 8:33pm

• Hassan's wife is leaving him.
• Zeya went into Vladamir's place and told him about the "buyer" Renee has. They decide to believe him and they agree to let Renee in.

8:37pm - 8:48pm

• Wade threatens and intimitdates Dana and it looks as though he wants her to uses her job at CTU to get him some mas money.
• Renee goes in to see Vladmir. Vlad checks Renee's story by asking her a bunch of questions about New Mexico. Jack tells her everything she needs to know thru COM.
• Vladamir still doesnt trust he reven though she gives all the right answer and throws her in the trunk.
• The COM goes out and Jack begins to follow a car that he thinks Renee is in

8:52pm - 9:00pm -- HOME STRETCH!!

• Twist Time! Its bout to go down!
• The brothers hold a doctor hostage and threaten his family so he wil work on the infected brother.
• Jack's following the wrong car. DUMMY!
• Renee was able to convince Vladimir that she is the real deal. Whether is was an act or true feelings, we dont know. Sure seems like true feelings to me.

RATINGS AND STATISTICS

Rating : 4 out of 5 Stars. While seemingly a set up episode, it successfully set up and established all major plots. Renee's undercover mission. Farhad's quest to buy the Uranium. The brother's attempt to save his radioactive brother. Pres Taylor and Hassan's dispute over peace treaty talks. And thats just to name a few. So overall, one of the better "set-up episodes"

• I gotta get me one of them cool buttons that Hastings has got. That cylinder thing he holds up in the air to talk on the phone...
• So, his name is Davros? or Mike Farmer?
• Man, I thought Jack was bout to ball!
• You would think that saving the world about 7 times would get you a good word with the police, guess not.
• Well this Davros character seems like the real deal now. He is willing to kill anyone to get what he wants now so look out New York.
• This whole "cop killer" thing with Jack should get good. Good idea to write this in to the plot, 24.

6:17pm - 6:28pm

• Dana or Jenny, or whoever she is, has got some "little secret" that Kevin knows and that she doesn't want to be disseminated.
• Jack's getting the beat down from NYPD on steriods. Get ready for the first Jack Bauer Escape of Season 8.
• Davros is now on the front line of defense from the strike. He now has the power essentially do to whatever he wants.
• This Hastings is no good. You'd think that being head of CTU and all, that he would know that Chole is a mastermind. He's gonna be outta there real soon at this rate.

6:31pm -6:36pm

• Hassan! Truth-teller!....Hastings! Liar! Come on, man, its JACK BAUER!
• Will Chloe surrender her job to save Jack?
• FOX has gotta stop w/ the Bank of America commericals voiced by Keifer Sutherland during the commericials. All it does is reminded us that 24 is only a show and Jack Bauer doesn't really exist. And nobody wants to believe that.

6:41pm -6:47pm

• Its gettin dark!!!
• Jack is a beast! Chair to the ribs. That hurts. Way to go police officer guy to finally stand up to the big bald one.
• Reed's file contained construction plans for the UN building. A scomatic for a bomb implanted in the UN.
• So Davros wanted everybody to evacuate and he now has a bomb planted under the street.
• It is my specualtion that he will try to blow up the car in which Hassan will travel away from the UN.

6:52pm - 7:00pm

• Jack to the resuce! (again) (again) (again)
• Cole listened to JAck without direct order from Hastings. Thats the kinda of CTU agent I like. Too bad he might be dead. Wouldnt be surprsied now if Jack takes over as lead field agent. That would be awesome. But we still dont exactly know who is blown up and who aint. Guess we're just gonna have to find out next week......NOT!!

7:00pm - 7:13pm

• Well Hassan was saved. Davros has been killed BY JACK! Hassan's brother has escaped.
• It looks like Rene Walker will be back after a "resignation due to internal affairs." Most likely she was fired after she tortured Alan Wilson after the conclusion of Day 7.
• Rene will analyze that tattoos found on all three of the conspirators.
• Chloe finally gettin some respect from Brian Hastings. That no good director. Chole's right, Hassan shouldnt be thanking Hastings. If it werent for Chloe, Cole, and Jack, dude would be scattered across the streets of NYC by now.

7:17pm - 7:22pm

• Hassan agrees to "con-tin-ue" with the treaty signing.
• Poor Jack still thinks he's gonna end up in LA. He should know by now Jack doesnt do 8 hour plane rides on 24.
• Jack tell Chloe to not tell Renee that he is here.
• Dead Victor is omitting radioactive nuclear material and Hassan says he knows why. He requests to talk to Hastings...

7:27pm - 7:35pm

• U235 (weapons grade uranium) was exposed to Victor.
• Hastings has asked Renee to go back undercover with the Russians and she agrees.
• Jack tries to get her to stop because he is worried for her, but she doesn't change her mind. Its obvious that Renee is pretty messed up from her interrogation of Alan Wilson and the events that must have followed.

7:40pm - 7:47pm

• Hassan breaks of w/ Reed to protect himself.
• Jack says FORGET LA! He decides he wants in on the undercover op to assist Renee. Renee aint too happy.
• Farar meets the seller of the nuclear weapon and is not willing to pay w/o proof. The dude shows Farar his younger son who has been exposed to the nuclear material. Thats enough proof for Farar.

7:52pm - 8:00pm

• Renee and Jack start their mission.
• Renne talks to guy in shop and Russian man cant locate Vladimir w/ parole bracelet on.
• Renee chops it off. Jack runs in and says THIS IS OVER!! Renee says she just gettin started. She tells Jack to cover the wound.
• Wow.

Well we knew this moment would come. The moment where we would have to wait an entire week to see the outcome of the events. Like usual in 24, the initial threat is over and now a much greater threat is iminent. This time, we are dealing with nuclear weapons. Jack and Renee, are supposed to be trying to acquire this weapon before it gets in the wrong hands. This time it seems as though Renee will be an obstacle as well.

Jack is on now. In all my 24 watching, its hard to think of anything better than an undercover Jack Bauer. Not only will he have to prevent a terrorist attack, but he will also have to babysit Renee Walker who which he seems to.....care for. We will see how that plays out.

Whats the deal with 24 and cutting off the limbs of Russians with a tracking device? This guy just had his wrist severed and if you recall back to Dredenko who cut off his own arm after a tracking device was implanted in it. Coincidence?

I liked that Davros guy as a villian. He had the perfect cover as a police officer which made his options endless. Oh well, he can go if it means a third kill for big Jack.

Speaking of Jack, He had another classic escape. He used his old trick of "playing unconscious" and taking his victim by surprise and took the chair, that he was still attached to, to the mans chest breaking his rib. Then Jack smashed the chair up against the wall, freeing himself, then using one of the legs to beat the guy over the head with.

What's the deal with that Kevin Wade guy? Someway, he is going to corrupt that Dana Walsh/Jenny Scott.

I wonder if we will hear from Kim and family again. Its obvious LA isnt in Jack's immediate future. I was thinking as I was re-watching yesterday's episodes and wondering whether Kim's husband could play some kind of role in this plot....Just a thought. Anyway, ratings and stats

RATINGS AND STATISTICS

5 stars out of 5! This show isnt even giving us a chance to breathe! Everytime you think you got it figured out you get thrown off-course. The suspense is chilling, the action is great, Jack is getting some kills, and there is that usual side romance sub-plot. The only other thing I could possibly ask for is an epic backgroung track from music man Sean Callery and I'm sure thats soon to come. And whats a better way to close out the 2 night, 4 hour premeire than with Jack screaming "THIS IS OVER!!!"

4:00pm - 4:11pm

• The first ticks of Season Eight!!!
• Opens up with Victor figuring out his two friends/relatives are dead. He then is fired upon but escapes
• Jack is watching over his granddaughter and decides to move back to LA w/ Kim and family. BTW he actually smiled and laughed. Find me another instance of that
• President Taylor and Kanin are discussing some kind of treaty with President Hassan of "his country"

4:17pm - 4:30pm

• President Hassan orders for Ms. Reid, the reporter lady to be let into the press conference at the UN building
• The New CTU is introduced. Hi Tech! Chloe is back. And new CTU members are introduced
• Victor comes to Jack's apartment speaking of intel he has about a hit on Pres Hasssan. Jack calls Director of CTU and he agrees to bring Victor in for quesitoning. Victor asks for immunity in return.
• They arrange for Jack to meet a helicopter. Judging from the overload of promos and previews, I got a feeling that helicopter just might get blown up.

4:36pm -4:43pm

• Prez Taylor and Henry are divorced. Liv Taylor is in Jail. Taylor and Kanin are informed that there is a threat on Hassan.
• Victor faints on way to helipad. A man spots them and dials 911.
• Chloe apparently is having trouble adjusting to new CTU. Hastings tells her she needs to catch up to speed.

4:50pm -5:00pm

• Ms. Reid recieves her new pass and is let through.
• Jack and Victor are stopped by the police, but are then shot at by two of the "bad guys". Jack is able to evade them until he wrecks them both with some kind of hacksaw. Thats 2!!
• The helicopter is blown by an RPG before they can get away. Victor dies as well as a couple other CTU agents. Jack and Agent Cole Ortiz survive.
• Victor says that there is someone on the inside, then it goes to Ms. Reid who is having a phone conversation with someone who she tells, "It will get done."

-----Second Hour (5:00pm - 6:00pm)--------

5:00pm - 5:10pm

• Reed and Hassan arrange to meet before the next session
• CTU finds out that Reed is the person on the inside and UN Security apprehend her.

5:14pm -5:24pm

• Chloe thinks that Reed may be a diversion. That they wanted CTU to find Reed.
• Chloe asks Jack to talk to Hastings about her theory because he wont listen to her, but Jack says no.
• Hassan's brother tells Hassan that he should not admit the truth about his relationship with Reed when she talks.
• He does this because he in fact is the person on the inside, and Hassan's denial will keep CTU thinking they have the right person.

5:28pm - 5:37pm

• Dana Walsh gets a call from some random guy threatening her not to hang up the phone.
• Jack talked to Hastings, but he didnt wanna hear it.
• Chloe plays the guilt card on Jack to try and make him stay on and help.
• Its Kim who convinces Jack to stay and help out. Jack listens and he's back!

5:42pm - 5:48pm

• Chloe hacks into Arlow's drone grid to search and find their guy.
• Jack prepares to go out and track him down
• Arlow finds out that someone has hacked into his system and begins to look into it.
• Walsh calls her friend and is scared that "Kevin Wade" has found where she works and has been calling her.
• Reed begins to be interrogated.

5:52pm - 6:00pm

• Jack gets caught in the armory by Hastings. Jack uses his knowledge of the failed drone to force Hastings to let him go.
• Mikey, the police officer and terrorist, forces his precint partner to switch shifts with him by holding his wife hostage and shooting her in the leg. The man then agrees to call the police captain to get their shifts swapped.

We're back everyone! 24 is here and looks like its gonna be another great season. To me, we have entered a new era of 24. A new city, a new CTU, and a new Jack.

First, CTU NY. Talk about fancy and hi-tech! Everthing about this place is crazy. Glass walls everywhere, huge screens, lifting door interrogation rooms! With this brand new place, we have some brand new faces. There is their new lead field agent, Cole Ortiz who seems to have himself under control but doesnt like it when other people mess up. Ortiz brings us to his co-worker and "lady friend" Dana Walsh. She seems to be a little full of herself, and a fear of this man from her past, Kevin Wade, might ruin her relationship with Ortiz. Head of CTU is Hastings, who orders everyone else to be on top of everything, but he doesn't seem to exactly be on the ball himself.

So President Taylor and Kanin are back and trying to sign a treaty with Hassan. This seems pretty important, but the details are kind of sketchy, and why wont they tell us what country he is from?

What a surprise! Chloe and Jack are right again. They are the only ones that believe that Reed is not the assassin to be. Reed has obviously been set up by Mikey, and it is Hassan's brother who is the inside guy. This plot can carry a long way. There is no way to be able to predict how this will play out.

Grandpa Jack! Finally, when he just wants to go away and live his happy life with his daughter, he gets dragged in. This time is Chloe who needs his help instead of the other way around. Now he's in for the long haul. This Hastings has alot to learn about Jack. When he is determined to do something, he WILL do it.

Currently, CTU genius Hastings is wasting his time interrogating the wrong person. Something about this guy makes me thing he's not fit for the job. Wouldnt be surprised if he doesnt make it through the season.

We'll see how this premeire finishes out tomorrow night! These first two hours have set up for a great season. Not the most action ever in an opener, but after a cliffhanger finale, a lot of loose ends needed to be and were tied up. And lets not forget, Jack did get his first couple kills.

RATINGS AND STATISTICS

Rating: 4 Stars out of 5 -- In my mind, could have started out a faster, but eventually really brought it with twists and turns. I know they like to spread out the action over the course of this 4 hour premiere. Don't wanna get overloaded with the explosions and shootouts too early. A lot of new information had to be presented and it was in a complicated, yet easy to understand way. Anyway, great episode, we have a great season ahead.

Jack Bauer Kills this episode: 2 Kills! Jack is the axe man! He clobbered two guys with a fire axe, knocking one over the railing to plummet to his death.
